Dale Bowen

Dale Bowen is a contemporary British artist whose expressive paintings are informed by decades of experience as a master ceramicist and designer. After studying art at Newcastle-under-Lyme College, Dale built an acclaimed career with Coalport China and Wedgwood, producing prestigious one-of-a-kind commissions and collector’s pieces, many of which are held in museums and private collections around the world. Alongside earning a Master’s degree in Ceramics from Staffordshire University, he developed a distinctive painting practice that embraces experimentation across a variety of media. Drawing inspiration from everyday observations, sketches, photographs, and the natural world, Dale creates atmospheric works that combine technical mastery with creative spontaneity. His passion for painting remains at the heart of his artistic practice, resulting in richly expressive artworks that reflect both his craftsmanship and his enduring curiosity as an artist.
