Chris Bourne

Chris Bourne is a contemporary British landscape artist whose richly detailed paintings celebrate the timeless beauty of the English countryside. Raised in rural Oxfordshire, his lifelong connection with nature continues to inspire his work, with walks through the Surrey Hills providing the sketches and observations that form the foundation of each composition. After studying at Berkshire College of Art and spending more than a decade as an Art Director in London, Chris returned to painting full-time, developing a distinctive style characterised by intricate layers of colour and delicate pointillist brushwork. His atmospheric landscapes capture changing light, seasonal colour, and the quiet tranquillity of the natural world, creating evocative scenes that balance realism with a dreamlike sense of nostalgia.
