Anna Schofield
Anna Razumovskaya is a contemporary artist whose richly textured landscape paintings are inspired by her passion for travel and the restorative beauty of the natural world. After beginning her career in criminal law and corporate business, she chose to pursue her lifelong passion for art, studying Art and Design at New College Nottingham before becoming a full-time professional artist. Working primarily in oils, Anna builds her paintings through multiple translucent glazes and expressive impasto layers, drawing on techniques rooted in the Italian Renaissance. Using palette knives, brushes, and unconventional tools, she creates richly tactile surfaces that explore light, colour, and atmosphere. Believing that art has the power to uplift and nurture emotional wellbeing, Anna describes her work as creating “landscapes of the soul”—immersive compositions that invite viewers to form a personal connection with each scene through texture, movement, and the interplay of light and shadow.
